This policy describes which personal data Meyer Digital · Martina Meyer processes when operating martina-meyer.ch and associated services - in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (nDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

02What data is processed
When visiting the website
When you visit martina-meyer.ch, the hosting provider (Cyon AG, Basel) records the following data in server log files:
- Anonymised IP address
- Date and time of access
- Referrer URL (which page linked you)
- Browser type and version, operating system
- Pages accessed and amounts of data transferred
This data serves the technical provision of the website and security (e.g. detecting abuse). It is not merged with other data sources.
When purchasing a product
When you purchase a product, the following data is processed:
- Name (first and last name)
- Email address
- Billing address (street, city, country)
- Payment information (by Paddle, not by us)
- Order details (product, date, amount)
- Any VAT ID for business customers
When contacting by email
When you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message for the purpose of responding.
03Purposes of processing
- Provision of the website and its functions
- Handling purchases, incl. delivery of the digital products and invoicing
- Answering enquiries and support
- Sending product updates and service information to buyers (no general marketing without consent)
- Fulfilment of legal retention obligations (e.g. bookkeeping under OR 957 ff., VAT-relevant documents)
04Legal bases
Processing is based on the following grounds:
- Contract performance (Art. 31 para. 2 lit. a nDSG / Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) - for purchases and support enquiries
- Legal obligation (Art. 31 para. 2 lit. c nDSG / Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR) - for bookkeeping, VAT, retention
- Overriding legitimate interests (Art. 31 para. 2 lit. f nDSG / Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) - for server logs for security and technical provision
- Consent (Art. 31 para. 1 nDSG / Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) - where you actively consent, e.g. newsletter sign-up
05Disclosure to third parties
We only pass your data to third parties insofar as this is necessary for contract performance or there is a legal obligation. The main recipients:

Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 9 nDSG or Art. 28 GDPR exist with Paddle and other processors.
06Data transfer abroad
Individual processors (in particular Paddle, Google Fonts) process data outside Switzerland and the EU. The transfer is based on appropriate safeguards - for providers based in the US or UK, by means of EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) and/or an adequacy decision.
07Cookies and similar technologies
The website martina-meyer.ch and sub-pages use exclusively technically necessary cookies or comparable mechanisms, insofar as this is required for functionality (e.g. session handling at checkout). No tracking or marketing cookies that would require consent are used.
At checkout via Paddle, Paddle sets its own cookies necessary for processing the payment. These are subject to Paddle's privacy policy.
08Retention period
- Server logs: maximum 30 days
- Order data and invoices: 10 years pursuant to Art. 958f OR (bookkeeping obligation)
- Email contact enquiries: until final processing, then up to 2 years for traceability, unless a longer retention obligation exists
- Newsletter data: until consent is withdrawn
09Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 25 nDSG / Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of incorrect data (Art. 32 para. 1 nDSG / Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure, unless a retention obligation exists (Art. 32 para. 2 nDSG / Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 28 nDSG / Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future

10Right to complain
If you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable data protection law, you can contact the competent supervisory authority:
- Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC)

11Changes to this policy
